Consistent quality, reliable resource

I've been using Picmonic since my first year of nursing school, and this time I renewed my Picmonic Premium Subscription for my Med-Surg rotation. Just like previous years, the content is consistently high-quality and directly relevant. I always find the mnemonics effective for tough topics. The platform is reliable, always up, and I haven't had any issues with accessing materials. It's become my go-to study resource because I know what to expect and it always delivers.

Comprehensive study tool, few glitches

I purchased the USMLE Step 1 Prep and have been using it for a few weeks now. The content coverage is quite extensive, and the combination of audio and visuals really helps with retention. I appreciated the Spaced Repetition System; it kept me on track. Ordering was straightforward, and I got access almost instantly. I did encounter a minor bug once where a video paused and wouldn't resume, forcing me to refresh the page. Customer support was quick to respond when I reported it, which was good. The mobile app also works well, letting me study on the go. It's a robust platform, though not completely flawless.

Good value for USMLE Step 2

I was looking for something affordable for my USMLE Step 2 CK Prep and found Picmonic. The annual plan discount made it a pretty good deal compared to other options. I feel like I got a lot of content for what I paid. It definitely felt worth the purchase, especially seeing how much information is covered in the videos.

Totally helped with my NCLEX!

Oh my goodness, Picmonic for Nursing saved my life for the NCLEX-RN! I used the NCLEX-RN Study Aid and it made understanding complex topics so much easier. The videos are fun and the mnemonics actually stick in your head. I passed my exam and truly believe Picmonic played a huge part. I'm going to tell all my nursing friends about this!

Good for pharmacology, delivery slow

I bought the Picmonic Premium Subscription mainly for pharmacology topics. The visual mnemonics are pretty effective for remembering drug names and side effects, much better than just flashcards. I found the daily quiz useful too. However, it took about 3 days for my account to fully activate and show all the premium content, which was a bit frustrating when I was ready to start studying right away. Overall, a solid tool, but activation could be faster.

Can you share your Picmonic account with a friend to split the cost? It's kinda pricey.

N Nina F. 2 months ago
Nah, pretty sure that's against their rules. I mean, you can try but they'd probably catch on eventually if you're logging in from wildly different places at the same time.

Don't risk it, they'll likely just ban your account. It's designed for individual use. Maybe look into their group discounts if you have other friends who want it, that's legit.

Looking to buy the premium plan, anyone know if there's any way to get a discount? Like a student one or something?

M Megan 2 months ago
Yeah, they usually have student discounts. I got mine through a referral link from a friend, saved like 20% I think. Check their site, sometimes they have specific ones for nursing/med students.

Keep an eye out for their holiday sales too, like Black Friday or even 'Back to School' stuff. Those often have bigger discounts than just the regular student ones. I snagged lifetime access on a flash sale once!

Hey guys, thinking about getting Picmonic for my nursing program. Is it actually worth it or just another expensive study tool?

N Noor T. 1 month ago
Definitely worth it for nursing school. I struggled with patho and pharm, and the picmonics really helped stuff stick for exams. Plus, they cover a lot of the NCLEX content.

It was a lifesaver for me during my peds rotation. I mean, it's not cheap but the visual mnemonics are pretty good for remembering all the random facts.

Is Picmonic better than Sketchy for med school? Trying to decide which one to commit to.

A Anna 2 months ago
I've used both. Picmonic is great for those super specific, rote memorization facts, especially micro and pharm. Sketchy is better for understanding broader concepts and pathways, IMO.

Totally depends on your learning style. Picmonic is more 'picture + story' for discrete facts. Sketchy is more like a whole narrative you follow. Try the free trials for both, you'll figure it out.
